B&P hires Tyler Richardson as public relations account executive

B&P Advertising, Media and Public Relations has hired Tyler Richardson as a public relations account executive.

Richardson joins B&P after working in Minnesota, where he was an integral part of the communications team for the third largest county government in the state. As a communications specialist for Dakota County, Richardson handled media and public relations, marketing campaigns, content writing, crisis communications, public information and some social media duties.

Before working in Minnesota, Richardson was a print journalist covering criminal justice and government affairs in Washington state and Oregon. Known for his investigative reporting and strong writing skills, Richardson has earned Society of Professional Journalists awards for comprehensive reporting, feature writing, investigative criminal justice reporting and breaking news reporting. A native of Seattle, Richardson has also authored sports and feature articles for outlets like Bleacher Report and SLAM Magazine.

He earned a degree in journalism from the University of Montana. He is currently working on a master’s degree in strategic communications from Purdue University.
